What is Pharmacogenomics? Pharmacogenomics combines the study of medications with the study of genetics. It tells us how your unique genetics will determine which medications will likely work the best for you and which medications may cause you the most harm. Why is it important? Pharmacogenomics removes trial-and-error prescribing. It helps your provider find the right medication for you the first time. This reduces side effects, reduces time to effectiveness, and saves you money. How do you do the test? The test is a simple cheek swab. Check out how easy it is and watch this video Receive the Test Kit and Follow the Instructions You can choose to have the cheek swab done in person or we can mail you a kit with everything you need, including a prepaid envelope to send the swab to the lab once completed.
